AgDiscovery - How Do I Apply?

Now Accepting AgDiscovery Applications!

The application submission deadline is April 5, 2024, at midnight Eastern Standard Time. The university will notify you if you are selected to participate. Non-selected applicants will receive a letter in the mail.

You will need all the forms listed below to complete your online application. Click on the links and save the documents below so you can prepare and have them ready to upload and submit with your online application:

  1. Parental Release Form (signed by the parent/guardian)

  2. Student Contract (signed by the applicant) 

  3. Two-page essay entitled, "Why I Want to Attend the AgDiscovery Program and What I Want to Learn."
    • Include your name, address and email address on the first page of the essay.
    • Include information about your interests and hobbies, as well as describe any agricultural science-related courses you have taken, as well as any extracurricular or volunteer activities you have participated in related to agriculture, plant, animal, biological, or veterinary science.

  4. Three Letters of Recommendation from people not related to you who know you well.  At least one of the recommendations must come from a teacher, counselor, or school administrator.
