SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS OF THE RESOLUTION The resolution provides for consideration of H.R. 1343, the Encouraging Employee Ownership Act of 2017, under a structured rule. The resolution provides one hour of debate equally divided and controlled by the chair and ranking minority member of the Committee on Financial Services. The resolution waives all points of order against consideration of the bill. GAO REPORT ON IMPACT ON EMPLOYEE OWNERSHIP. Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General of the United States shall submit to Congress a report on the impact on employee ownership of the revisions required by section 2, including the impact on-- (1) the number of employees participating in compensatory benefit plans; and (2) diversification of the securities held by employee pension benefit plans subject to title I of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (29 U.S.C. 1001 et seq.).
