Res. 329] The Committee on Rules, having had under consideration House Resolution 329, by a nonrecord vote, report the same to the House with the recommendation that the resolution be adopted. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS OF THE RESOLUTION The resolution provides for consideration of H.R. 2738, the United States-Chile Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act, under a closed rule. The rule provides two hours of debate in the House on H.R. 2738 with one hour and forty minutes equally divided and controlled by the chairman and ranking minority member of the Committee on Ways and Means and twenty minutes equally divided and controlled by the chairman and ranking minority member of the Committee on the Judiciary. The rule waives all points of order against consideration of H.R. 2738. The resolution provides that pursuant to section 151(f)(2) of the Trade Act of 1974, the previous question shall be considered as ordered on H.R. 2738 to final passage without intervening motion. The resolution further provides for consideration of H.R. 2739, the United States-Singapore Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act, under a closed rule. The rule provides two hours of debate in the House on H.R. 2739 with one hour and forty minutes equally divided and controlled by the chairman and ranking minority member of the Committee on Ways and Means and twenty minutes equally divided and controlled by the chairman and ranking minority member of the Committee on the Judiciary. The rule waives all points of order against consideration of H.R. 2739.
