National Survey of Fishing, Hunting, and Wildlife-Associated Recreation (FHWAR)

Conducted since 1955, the National Survey of Fishing, Hunting, & Wildlife-Associated Recreation (FHWAR) is coordinated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and provides information on individuals involved in fishing, hunting, and other wildlife-related recreation. Each survey contains an updated snapshot of fishing, hunting, wildlife watching, and other important recreational data. National FHWAR reports and the occupying addendum reports 2016-1991 are available through the links below. Older reports are in the process of being digitized for online access.
