Res. 617] The Committee on Rules, having had under consideration House Resolution 617, by a nonrecord vote, report the same to the House with the recommendation that the resolution be adopted. summary of provisions of the resolution The resolution waives all points of order against the conference report to accompany H.R. 4461, the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2001, and against its consideration. The rule further provides that the conference report shall be considered as read. committee votes Pursuant to clause 3(b) of House rule XIII the results of each record vote on an amendment or motion to report, together with the names of those voting for and against, are printed below: Rules Committee record vote No. 119 Date: October 10, 2000. Measure: Conference Report to accompany H.R. 4461, the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2001. Motion by: Mr. Frost. Summary of motion: To amend the rule to provide that when the House adopts the rule it will be deemed to have adopted a concurrent resolution directing the Clerk to make certain corrections in the conference report. It further provides that a message must be received from the Senate informing the House that it has adopted the concurrent resolution before the conference report may be considered by the House. The amendment provides that all points of order against the conference report and against its consideration are waived. The concurrent resolution would direct the Clerk to make changes in the conference report to allow for stronger, pro-consumer and loop- hole free language on the reimportation of prescription drugs.
