Purpose of the CCP:

As part of the National Wildlife Refuge System, the Refuges are required to have a CCP in place to guide the management of fish, wildlife, plants, coral reefs, habitats and public uses for a period of 15 years.

Comprehensive Conservation Plan

Current Status:

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has completed final Comprehensive Conservation Plans and Findings of No Significat Impact for Howland Island, Baker Island, and Jarvis Island National Wildlife Refuges. The documents are posted below, and a brief summary of the comments we received on the draft plans and changes that resulted is included in Planning Update 4.
