In accordance with Rule 18(e)(2) of the Committee on Ethics
(Committee), the Committee hereby submits the following Report
to the House of Representatives:

                      I. FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS

On July 20, 2021, the Committee convened for the purpose of
considering the July 15, 2021, arrest of Representative Joyce
Beatty, for Crowding, Obstructing, or Incommoding, during a
protest inside a Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.
Representative Beatty was released following her arrest.
Representative Beatty informed the Committee she paid a $50
fine prior to her release. The legal proceedings related to her
arrest are expected to be resolved with no further action.
The Committee voted against impanelling an investigative
subcommittee in this matter. The Committee considered the scope
and nature of the conduct described above and determined that
review by an investigative subcommittee is not required in this
matter.
The Committee has determined to take no further action in
this matter, and upon publication of this Report, considers the
matter closed.
