                        ACCOMPANYING RESOLUTION

                        submitted the following

                              R E P O R T

                       [To accompany H. Res. 727]

    The Committee on Rules, having had under consideration 
House Resolution 727, by a record vote of 9 to 4, report the 
same to the House with the recommendation that the resolution 
be adopted.

                SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS OF THE RESOLUTION

    The resolution provides that if H. Rept. 117-152 is called 
up by direction of the Select Committee to Investigate the 
January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol, all points of 
order against the report shall be waived and it shall be 
considered as read. The resolution provides for consideration 
of the resolution accompanying H. Rept. 117-152 under a closed 
rule. The resolution provides one hour of debate equally 
divided among and controlled by Representative Thompson of 
Mississippi, Representative Cheney of Wyoming, and an opponent, 
or their respective designees. The resolution waives all points 
of order against consideration of the resolution accompanying 
H. Rept. 117-152. The resolution provides that the resolution 
accompanying the report shall be considered as read.

                         EXPLANATION OF WAIVERS

    Although the resolution waives all points of order against 
House Report 117-152, the Committee is not aware of any points 
of order. The waiver is prophylactic in nature.
