On July 27, 2022, the Committee convened for the purpose of
considering the July 19, 2022, arrests of 17 Members of the
House for Crowding, Obstructing, or Incommoding, during a
protest outside the United States Supreme Court Building in
Washington, D.C. Representatives Alma Adams, Cori Bush,

Barbara Lee, Andy Levin, Carolyn Maloney, Alexandria Ocasio-
Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, Jan Schakowsky, Jackie
Speier, Rashida Tlaib, Nydia Velazquez, and Bonnie Watson
Coleman were arrested and then released. Each of the arrested
Members informed the Committee they have paid or intend to pay
the $50 fines related to their arrests. The legal proceedings
related to the arrests are expected to be resolved with no
further action.
The Committee voted against impanelling an investigative

this matter, and upon publication of this Report, considers the
matter closed.
