Users now control the placement and number of compass roses shown on a chart.
The NOAA Custom Chart application now works with the new NOAA Navigation Update Application to determine the number and type of changes that have been made to ENC data since a chart was exported.

Changed default scale in Chart Settings to 1:22,000.
Removed SCAMIN toggle and set application to not honor Scale minimum values. This will ensure that all ENC features are displayed on the chart.
Removed Show compass rose toggle now that users may place their own compass roses.
Layer Settings
Use these checkboxes to restrict the chart data used for your chart to specific intended use categories.
Check “All Datasets” to allow the application to choose the best available data for your chart.

Depth zones shallower than the entered values are tinted in the shade of blue shown.
If no contour for the value exists in the ENC data, the next deeper contour is used.
Depth zones deeper than the “Deep” value are displayed as white.
After populating all fields, click Create New Chart, then click the map once at the center of your chart. Click Move Chart, then click and drag the chart outline to refine its position.
New charts and charts retrieved from your Personal Chart Catalog are shown in this list. To export, delete, or move selected charts into your catalog, click the associated button.

Add Compass Roses
Click on a chart to add a compass rose. Each chart can have up to three roses. Use buttons below to add, move, or delete compass roses on the selected chart.
Active Chart
Users must use the Select Active Chart button to show the compass roses associated with the chart. If you wish to add, move or delete a compass rose, a chart must be selected.
