by Sandra Hoffmann and Tobenna D. Anekwe

Economic Information Bulletin No. (EIB-118) 35 pp, September 2013

Cover image for EIB-118 Three recent studies provide cost-of-foodborne-illness estimates ranging from $14.1 billion to $152 billion. Keywords: Foodborne illness, health valuation, cost of illness, QALY, willingness to pay, VSL EQ-5D, burden of disease, chronic sequellae, Campylobacter, E. coli, Listeria, norovirus, Salmonella, Toxoplasma, Vibrio, Yersinia
